Products for industrial wood coatings

The industrial wood coatings range from Tikkurila serves both outdoor and indoor applications across the woodworking industry. As European regulations evolve and customer preferences shift toward environmentally conscious solutions, there is growing demand for water-based products. To meet these market needs, we will transition our complete industrial wood product line to 100% water-based formulations by 2026.

Due to EU Regulation 2023/1464 on formaldehyde emissions, solvent-based acid-catalyzed products will be discontinued first. Wood item producers, except for a few exceptions, must stop using these products for articles by August 6th, 2026, and switch to alternative solutions. All remaining solvent-based products in Tikkurila's Industrial Wood range will convert to water-based by end of 2026.
